Overview
Our multi-day tour through Morocco’s Imperial Cities (RABAT – FÈS – MEKNÈS – MARRAKECH), along with visits to CASABLANCA – VOLUBILIS – IFRANE, represents the highlight of any trip to Morocco — truly a must-see experience!
Discover and experience at your own pace the majestic palaces, historic mosques, and ancient medinas that define Morocco’s royal heritage. This journey offers an enchanting mix of “Arabian Nights” magic, bustling souks, and vibrant traditions.
Wander through narrow alleys filled with the aromas of spices, sweets, fresh fruits, and artisanal goods. In other quarters, you’ll meet craftsmen — shoemakers, carpenters, goldsmiths — who still practice their trades as they have for centuries.
Guided tours will help you navigate and appreciate the depth of history around you. The riads selected for your stay, located in the heart of the medinas, allow for an authentic immersion in Moroccan life, where you can enjoy traditional home-cooked meals away from the typical tourist hotels.
In Volubilis, you’ll step back in time to explore Morocco’s Roman heritage, walking among vast ruins and intricate mosaic floors. In contrast, Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” will surprise you with its alpine-style houses and landscapes reminiscent of European mountain towns.
The starting point, duration, and end of your tour can be arranged entirely according to your preferences.
Tour Details
Day 1: Flight to Casablanca
(Agadir or Marrakech are also available as alternatives.)
You will organize your flight individually — for example, with Royal Air Maroc or Lufthansa (approx. 3.5 hours direct). Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel in the heart of the city. Your experience tour begins in Casablanca.
Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat
After a relaxing breakfast, we begin the day with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, the third-largest mosque in the world and a true architectural masterpiece. Its 210-meter minaret is the tallest in the world.
During a guided one-hour tour, you’ll marvel at the detailed craftsmanship and opulent interior.
We then continue to Rabat, the nation’s capital, for a sightseeing tour featuring:
the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, housing the white Carrara marble tombs of Morocco’s former kings, the Hassan Tower, and the impressive “forest of columns” surrounding it.
A walk through the Kasbah des Oudayas (UNESCO World Heritage Site) offers spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner at your riad and unwind after the day’s experiences.
Day 3: Rabat – Ifrane – Fès
After breakfast, we leave the Atlantic coast and head inland.
We’ll stop in Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” famous for its clean streets, alpine-style houses, and mountain scenery.
Next, we arrive in Fès, Morocco’s oldest imperial city — a place where time seems to have stood still.
Fès is world-renowned for its traditional craftsmanship. In its maze-like medina, artisans such as woodworkers, goldsmiths, tailors, and tanners still practice their trades much as they did in medieval times.
A guided walking tour through the medina will immerse you in this unique atmosphere, ending in the famous tanners’ quarter, where the colorful dye pits and strong aromas are unforgettable.
Day 4: Fès – Volubilis – Meknès
Today’s journey takes us to Volubilis, the most important and best-preserved Roman archaeological site in Morocco, featuring grand ruins and stunning mosaics.
We then continue to Meknès, the imperial city built by Sultan Moulay Ismail at the end of the 17th century.
Its monumental gates (such as Bab Mansour), massive city walls, Moulay Ismail’s Mausoleum, and vast royal granaries still testify to the might of the sultan’s era.
A guided tour will introduce you to the beautifully restored Bou Inania Madrasa within the UNESCO-listed old city.
You’ll also visit the authentic souks of Meknès, among the most traditional in the country.
Overnight in a charming riad.
Day 5: Meknès – Marrakech
After breakfast, we depart early toward Marrakech.
Depending on your preference, we can take the faster highway route via Casablanca or the scenic mountain road.
In the evening, we’ll explore Marrakech’s old town, centered around the iconic Djemaa el-Fna square — a lively scene filled with storytellers, musicians, snake charmers, and healers, offering a glimpse into the magical world of “A Thousand and One Nights.”
Enjoy a tea on a rooftop terrace or wander through the bustling souks before indulging in a homemade Moroccan dinner at your riad.
Day 6: Marrakech – Agadir
Spend your morning as you wish:
take a carriage ride, visit the Koutoubia Mosque, Bab Agnaou Gate, the Saadian Tombs, or the Bahia Palace. You may also stroll through the Majorelle Garden, created by Yves Saint Laurent.
(If you’re departing from Marrakech, we’ll arrange your airport transfer.)
Alternatively, continue the journey with us to Agadir and enjoy a few relaxing days by the Atlantic coast.
The day ends with a farewell dinner celebrating the memories of your journey.
Day 7: Agadir
Enjoy a flexible stay in Agadir.
We can recommend suitable hotels and local excursions — details available on our website.
We’ll arrange your transfer to Agadir Airport for your departure.
